New Cricket Star for BBEC.
Irfan Amjad of 8M has been the star of cricket season this year, averaging over 50 playing for the school in both his own age group and in a Year 10 team against boys 2 years older.
His most recent exploit was when his half century against an Earlsheaton High School Year 10 team at Hanging Heaton Cricket Club. One of his sixes crashed into the clubhouse main window; fortunately it was glazed with a resistant plastic, and therefore didn’t affect the PE budget!
This superb performance follows big scores against Batley GS, Castlehall HS and Holmfirth School. Irfan has been training with Yorkshire CC, and has just been selected to play for them in two matches in the year 9 age group. Well done Irfan from the PE Department and your team mates.
